Welcome to Academy Netball Club...
Academy is a highly successful netball club in west London. First set up in 1967, the club has grown year after year and now has around 60 committed members making up 4 senior and 2 junior squads. The club is proud of its achievements over recent years, having retained the Challenge Cup title in 2008 and being Challenge Cup and Prem Division 1 winners in 2007. Academy has produced many players who have gone on to represent their country or play in the Co-operative SuperLeague competition, but is also committed to the grass roots of the sport, developing players from a young age. Our junior section is now stronger than it's ever been. | Academy regain title at Oxford...
Determined to win back the title this year following a disappointing loss in 2008 that broke Academy’s run of luck, two squads were entered into this year's tournament and raring to go. With Naida Hutchinson coaching from the sidelines and Areta Thatcher, a new face in the Academy line up, the day looked set to be a good one!
Winning the final 14-8, the players enjoyed an excellent day and won some very useful socks and a ball in the process! Many thanks go out to the organisers for a well run tournament. Read the full press release here.
